Get to know me…

A freelance graphic design studio in Birmingham

I’ve always enjoyed making things; whether that’s through design, making music, cooking or doing DIY around the house (or trying to at least). I’d actually always intended on becoming an architect, it was for that reason I studied Art, Design, Physics and Maths at A-Level. However after some consideration I studied Graphic Design (much to my parents dismay) at Birmingham Institute of art and design and haven’t looked back since.

In my time in the industry I’ve been fortunate enough to clock up over twelve years of experience designing just about everything you can think of; from websites and exhibition graphics to mobile apps and catalogues. I’ve worked for some amazing clients in the process; household names like Next and Asda running design teams and internal studios, but also some inspirational startups and small businesses, and it’s in that area that I’ve found design the most rewarding. I class myself as very lucky to be able to do something that I love for a living; and there’s nothing I enjoy more than being able to help businesses and livelihoods grow, innovate and develop in a challenging post-covid economy.

It’s never been so competitive and investing in design for your livelihood is probably the best investment you will ever make; whether that’s brand identity design, graphic design, packaging design, web design or all of the above and the strategy behind it (that’s where it gets really fun!) - I’d love to help. Even if you just want a quick chat on the phone (although I can’t promise it will be quick - once I start, it’s difficult to stop me!) feel free to reach out and get in touch. You only get one chance to make a first impression - so make yours count.

I often collaborate with other awesome creatives including photographers, copywriters, web developers and a whole host of other awesome creatives to help manage and deliver larger projects. I also occasionally contract for creative agencies - please get in touch for my current availability.

Thank you for reading, if you’ve made it this far here’s a few fun/interesting facts about me to help you get to know me better!

  • I’m a Newcastle United fan (don’t hold it against me) and have been a toon supporter since I was a child, frequently making the long drive up to watch games.

  • I have a VW T4 Campervan called ‘Delilah’ - you can follow my van page to see what I get up to here.

  • I love using a camera to capture photographs and video content - but I work with a great team when I need to on bigger projects - nothings too big, so whatever size your project - get in touch!
